AUSTRALIAN WEARABLE ART FESTIVAL 2022
The Australian Wearable Art Festival is a fusion of high-end fashion and the sculptural world of art – where Gaultier meets Picasso. This is Australia’s largest wearable art show, where over 50 national and international entries take to the catwalk in a spectacular night of entertainment. After a sold-out show in 2019, audiences walked away feeling like they had been to a Parisian or New York runway show. With four main categories, artworks might be made from beautiful fresh flowers, repurposed bicycle tyres, teabags or police tape.
The visual feast is hard to describe but it has the same energy as the Mardi Gras and the Met Gala combined together. The audience will enjoy the chance to meet the artists and see the works up close and personal. It’s hard not to be inspired by the creative talent and the sheer enthusiasm of the artists.
